Fortuna, John Anton (19 Apr 1907 - 7 Jan 1995)

John Anton Fortuna, 87, Neillsville, Clark County, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 1995, at Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville. Funeral services were held at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1995, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Father Steve Baures officiated. Burial was in Holy Family Cemetery.

John Anton Fortuna was born on April 19, 1907, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to Anton and Mary (nee Kershishnick. He farmed in the Willard area until selling to his brother, Louis, in the 1950's. He then resided in Neillsville, Greenwood and Loyal until entering Memorial Nursing Home two years ago. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Frances Slemec, Owen Anna Fortuna, Rock Springs, Wyo. and Mary Savage, Berwyn, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Rinka Funeral Home of Greenwood handled arrangements.
