Rickard, Mary Ann (10 SEP 1960)

Miss Mary Ann Rickard became the bride of Gerald Soderberg on Saturday, Sept. 10, 1960 at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Loves Park, Ill.  Rev. Father Guron performed the 11:00 a.m. ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Francis W. Rickard, Rockford, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Soderberg, Sr., Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white Bombazine and lace gown with long sleeves and chapel train.  Her three tier hand rolled edge veil was held by a princes crown of pearls and her cascade bouquet consisted of white roses and stephanotis.

Mrs. Robert Shefferly was her sister’s matron of honor.  Bridesmaids were Mrs. George Marvik, Mrs. Daniel Symons, Mrs. Trent Krantz and Mrs. Norman Schmidt.  They wore dresses of wedgewood blue lace over powder blue, styled with two powder blue bows at the waist.  Satin bows trimmed their wedgewood blue picture hats and each carried arm bouquets of Happiness roses and Ti leaves.

Miss Beth Shefferly, the bride’s nice, and Robert Shefferly, Jr., the bride’s nephew, were flower girl and ring bearer.

Arthur Soderberg Jr., was his brother’s best man.  Groomsmen were: Joseph Sreeman, Rocco Feordclisi, Gerald Leher and Gerald Glasshof.

A dinner for 350 guests was held at the Forest Hills, Country Club.

After a wedding trip to different points of interest the couple will make their home at Rockford, Ill., where the groom is a pharmacist.
