Engevold, Richard (21 JUNE 1953-04 APRIL 2012)

 

Richard M. "Rick" Engevold, 58, Marshfield, formerly of Spencer, died on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at the House of The Dove in Marshfield. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 7, ay Life Tributes Funeral Home, Spencer. Rev. Mark Krueger presided. Committal services will take place privately at a later date.

 

Richard Engevold was born on June 21, 1953, in Marshfield, the son of Marvin and Eleanore (nee Caitlin) Engevold. He attended Loyal High School. He resided in Spencer for 40 years, later moving to Marshfield. He married Sharon Redig. They later divorced. Rick was employed at Land O’ Lakes in Spencer, where he created some great friendships with his co-workers. His hobbies included fishing and hunting.

 

Survivors include three sons, Paul (Amy) Engevold, Cedar Grove, Matt (his partner Melissa) Engevold, Fond du Lac, and Chad (Devon) Engevold, Keaau, Hawaii; an "adopted"  son, his nephew Matt "Bozo" Redig, Keaau, Hawaii; 10 siblings, Karen Perry, Marshfield, Larry (Lynette) Engevold, Neillsville, James Engevold, Marshfield, Mary Walde, Greenwood, Dennis (Denise) Engevold, Spencer, Pamela Mondloch, Marshfield, Pat (Linda) Engevold, Spencer, Jeffery Engevold, Platteville, Randy (Trish) Engevold, Monroe, Ga., and Kevin (Anne) Engevold, Granton; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Barbie.

 

Rick’s sons would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Claessons, Rick’s nurses, Cheryl and Jennifer, and all those who provided gentle and compassionate care for their father. Their commitment to his care was appreciated and will not to be forgotten.
