Hansen, Allan R. (13 DEC 1931 - 27 APR 2012)

 

Allan R. Hansen, age 80, of Colby, died on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital Surgical Intensive Care Unit in Marshfield. Private Family Services will be held at a later date. Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home of Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Mr. Hansen was born on December 13, 1931, in Milwaukee County the son of Harold and Mildred (Warren) Hansen. He attended Gilman and Spencer Schools. Allan proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954.

After his time in the service Allan lived in Spencer and worked for Melvin Companies in Abbotsford. In 1965 he moved to Florida to work as a grader operator doing road construction. While in Florida Allan was united in marriage to Trudy. She preceded him in death. In 1990 he retired to Wisconsin and moved to Colby. 

Allan was an avid television watcher who enjoyed watching sports. He especially enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Nascar. He also enjoyed his time spent with his morning coffee clutches with his brother Donald and friends. Allan enjoyed helping out with harvest time at the nephews farm and attending Holiday dinners.

He is lovingly survived by his siblings, Nancy (Philip) Schilling of Chili, and Ruthanne Rahm of Marshfield. He is further survived by two sister-in-laws, Sandy Hansen and Marjorie Hansen, as well as, many other relatives and friends.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mildred, his wife, Trudy, and two brothers, Raymond Hansen and Donald Hansen.
