Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest (Golden - 12 April 1966)

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Campbell of Neillsville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday by holding open house from 2 to 5 p.m. in the American Legion Hall. The day was also the 70th birthday of Mrs. Campbell. The celebration party was planned by the couple’s three children.

Mr. and Mrs. Campbell were married April 12 in Neillsville by the late Rev. George W. Longenecker, a long time pastor of the Congregational Church. The couple farmed in the Town of Weston for several years and during World War II lived in Milwaukee, where Mr. Campbell did factory work.

They have three (four) children, a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Florence) Anderegg of Germantown, and three sons, Edward Campbell of Abilene, Tex., and Gordon Campbell of Louisiana, who was unable to attend, and George Campbell, who makes his home with his parents.

Relatives and friends from out of town attending the celebration included: Mr. and Mrs. Edward Campbell and family of Abilene, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderegg and children of Germantown; George Wilson of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Wilson of Rice Lake; Mrs. Myrtle Vader of Eau Claire; Al Whinuery of Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Anna Clark of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Milton Redlin of Oshkosh; and Arthur Boeck of Milwaukee.
