Miss Nancy Schweiger of route 2 became the bride of Gary Duane Abel of Greenwood at a 7 p.m. ceremony Wednesday, November 12 in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Alfred Schewe officiated.

Miss Schweiger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schweiger, route 2, wore a black rayon sheath-like dress which featured a low scoop neckline of pink material adorned with sequins. A black hay, adorned with feathered completed her bridal attire. A corsage of pink rose buds was pinned to her shoulder.

Attending her was Miss Marla Ann Carl. She was attired in an interchangeable brown dress with black accessories. She wore a corsage of yellow rosebuds.

The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Abel was attended by his friend, Tim Dunn, Greenwood.

Following the quiet ceremony the bridal couple drove to Marshfield for supper. The bride is a graduate of Loyal High School and is employed in Neillsville, and the groom is a milk hauler. They will make their home in Neillsville.
