Word was received Sunday by Neillsville relatives of the death Sunday of Mrs. Susan (Ben) Thoma, about 75, of Phoenix, a Neillsville area resident for many years.  Funeral services were held Wednesday in Phoenix from St. Francis Catholic Church.

Mrs. Thoma, the former Susan Linster, was born in Clark County and attended rural schools here.  Following her marriage to Ben Thoma, they resided on a farm in the Town of Weston.

She is survived by a son, Irvin Thoma of Wisconsin Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Helen) Lard and Miss Virginia Thoma, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Alphonse Linster of Neillsville and William Linster of New York State; a sister, Mrs. Caroline Walker of Portland, Ore.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Thoma suffered a severe stroke about six years ago and had been an invalid since that time.
