Mrs. Reinhold Steckert was taken suddenly and seriously ill Monday, suffering with appendicitis and was rushed to the Marshfield Hospital that day and operated on.  Her mother, Mrs. Will Neinas, is with her much of the time since.


Rev. Lothian, former pastor at the Nasonville Presbyterian Church arrived here Thursday to hold the funeral services for Roy McTavish.  Mr. Lothian returned Friday.


Tuesday night another meeting of the members of school district No. 7 was held in regard to building a new schoolhouse.  The next meeting will be held Tuesday, the 27th of March.


The following nominations were made for officers for the town of Fremont last Saturday at a caucus held at the town hall:


Chairman - H.Portz, Chas. Mundt.

Supervisor, first choice - A.F. Dankemyer, A.L. Christiansen.

Supervisor - Albert Marg second choice, P. Trevean.

Clerk - E.W. Lee.

Treasurer - Wm. Neinas, John Henning.

Assessor - Ray Ure, Fred Dankemyer.


Nasonville furnished a little amateur show, a basket social and a dance was held at the M.W.A. Hall Tuesday night for the benefit of Mrs. Tuchscher and children.


With spring beginning we have hope now that winter will gradually leave us.  It has been about the hardest winter we had for quite a number of years.


The election this spring is liable to be a warm one.  It would be best therefore to remember that the other fellow is not necessarily a bad man because he happens to disagree with you.  Let every man vote according to his own convictions, and let the result be the law for the time being and let everybody abide by it cheerfully.


It would be wise for farmers to buy their necessary farm implements while the roads are passable.  There may be a time when they are not and when farm work could commence.


The Ladies Aid will meet with Mrs. Phillips and Mrs. Graham at Mrs. Grahamís, March 29th.  Everybody is invited.
