Brown, Robert F. (14 AUG 1936 - 2 JUN 2012)

Robert "Bob" Francis Brown, age 75, of Loyal, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the Colonial Center in Colby surrounded by his family.

Bob was born August 14, 1936 to Francis and Sophie (Putnam) Brown in Rochester, New York. They later moved to Wisconsin, where he attended Waukesha Schools. Bob joined the Army National Guard and also served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On October 13, 1962 Bob marriage Darlene Hinkley, they had 4 children; Susan Brown of Colby, Peter (Sharon) Brown of Colorado, Paul Brown of Stetsonville, and Bobbie Jo (Brad) Suckow of Unity. They later divorced.

He married Nancy Davel on January 21, 1983 and was lovingly accepted as the step-father of her children; Bob Davel of Willard, Marie Davel of Marshfield, Debi (Chris) Langreck of Marshfield, Larry Davel of Neillsville, Tami (Randy ) Cook of Loyal, Shirley Goode of Medford and Lisa (Al) Payne of Loyal.

Bob spent most of his working career driving truck, his last job was at Meigs in Abbotsford where he retired in 2002.

Bob enjoyed fishing, traveling with his wife, trips to the casino with his good friend Skip Sossaman and of course the family get togethers.

Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy Brown of Loyal, his loving sister; Jean (Joe) Pedersen, their four sons; Michael, Richard, Robert and Patrick. He is further survived by 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and his faithful pals; Tippy, Sassy and Calico.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford from 5 to 8 PM with a prayer service at 8 PM.

Graveside services will be at a later date. Rest in Peace Poppy.

The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is assisting the family with arrangements.
