On a trip to Oklahoma following their wedding on Saturday are the former Gertrude Catherine Weis and Robert George Jicinsky of Stafford. The couple was married by the Rev. Norbert E. King during a 10 a.m. ceremony at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reinie Weis, Spencer, route 2, and the parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jicinsky, Stratford, route 2.

As the bride entered the church on the arm of her father she wore a gown fashioned with tiers of chantilly lace over satin styled by a Sabrina neckline. Her finger tip veil was caught to a pearl tiara and she carried a bouquet of red and white roses.

Joan Jicinsky, a sister of the groom was maid of honor and attending the bride were Lois Jicinsky, a sister of the groom, Mary Jane Weis, the bride’s sister-in-law and Andrea Wehe. Joan wore a pink organza dress and held pink and white carnations. The bridesmaids were in similar dresses of blue accented by a flower at the center of wide neckband. Rosemarie Johnson, the bride’s neice and Larry Jicinsky, the groom’s nephew were flower girl and ring bearer.

Robert had James C. Miller of Marshfield as his best man and Gene Bedle, Sylvester Weis, the bride’s brother, and Garry Ertl, his cousin as groomsmen. Charles Weis and James Jicinsky, brothers of the bride and groom served as ushers. Wedding day events included a dinner at the church dining hall and a reception at the home of the bride’s parents followed by supper. A dance was held at the Riverview Ballroom.

The new Mrs. Jicinsky attended Loyal High School and her husband attended Stratford high School.
