On a wedding trip through the western states are the former Nelda Jane Foelske and her husband, Arthur H. Franz of Greenwood. They were married Saturday in the Loyal Methodist Church. A dinner and reception followed in the church dining hall and a dance was held at the Silver Dome.

The Rev. Paul Doering performed the 2 o’clock marriage for the daughter of Mrs. Iva Foelske, Loyal and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Franz, Greenwood.
Karen Haselow sang “O Perfect Love” and “The Lord’s Prayer” and was accompanied at the organ by Charles Ivey.

The bride approached the altar which was decorated with baskets of cut flowers on the arm of her uncle, Delbert Hutchins. She chose a gown of sweeping nylon organza with a chapel train. It was richly etched with chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice and the full skirt, as on the long tapered sleeves. Her imported silk illusion veil was held in place by a small crown and edged with pearls. She held a cascade of amazon lilies, white stephanotis and pink garnette roses with ivy foliage.

Mrs. Marvin Teuteberg came from Waukesha to be her sister’s matron of honor. She wore a turquoise dress styled by a fitted bodice with a scoop neckline and cap sleeves. Her tiered skirt was of alternating ruffles of taffeta and white nylon. She carried a cascade of white pompoms with turquoise satin. Geraldine Gray, a cousin of the groom, was bridesmaid and she wore an identically styled dress in shrimp with a bouquet of white pompoms with shrimp satin.

The bride’s mother wore a champaign brocade suit and the groom’s mother was seen in an off white brocade suit.

A cousin of the groom, Darrell Horn of Greenwood was his best man and Richard Jensen of Greenwood was groomsman.

Seating the guests were the bride and groom’s cousins, Jerome Hutchins of Spencer and Thomas Elmers of Greenwood.

The former Miss Foelske graduated from Loyal High School and attended Eau Claire State Teachers College. Mr. Franz graduated from Greenwood High School and is engaged in farming where the couple will live at rural Greenwood.
