Bobbe, Ellen (Amundson) (8 DEC 1868 - 30 MAR 1925)

Mrs. Ellen Bobbe, wife of Gustav Bobbe, 835 Ashland avenue, passed away at her home early this morning.

She was born in Amherst, Wis., Dec. 8, 1868, attended rural schools and later became a seamstress in Amherst.

She was united in marriage to Gustav Bobbe on April 14, 1898, and the couple lived at Newhope for several years. They came to his city from Dorchester, Wis., in 1925

She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran church and its Ladies’ Aid society. A home-loving wife and mother, devoted to her family, she enjoyed a host of friends.

Survivors are her husband, three daughters and a son, Mrs. Carl (Isla) Simmons, Ellendale, N.D.; Mrs. Maurice (Maude) Sorenson of Dorchester, Wis.; Mrs. Darrell (Elsie) Garnett and William Bobbe, both of this city; six grandchildren, and a brother, Adolph Amundson, of Iola, Wis., also survive.

A sister and two brothers and her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at the Ramm Funeral home Friday morning at 9 o’clock. The Rev. Walter W. Laesch will officiate and following the services the body will be taken to Amherst, Wis., where services will be conducted at 2:30 o’clock with interment in the family lot there.

Friends may call at the funeral home from Wednesday evening at 7:30 until the time of services Friday
