Gordon Davis was a Marshfield caller Wednesday.

Miss Alma Happe has gone to Sioux Falls, S.D. to spend the summer.

N.E. Lee and wife returned from their visit Thursday.

Miss Jennie Ackerman and Erwin Happe called at the Gordon Davis home Friday afternoon.

Miss Esther Sparks and brother Dannie were Chili callers Saturday.

H.A. Knoll purchased a new top buggy Saturday.

Lem Curtis is making preparations for haying; he has bought a new mowing machine and hay loader recently.

Miss Lena Curtis entertained the sewing club last week. This week Betty Zorn entertains.

Earl Drake visited his parents at Maplehurst over Sunday.

Miss Mary Verkilne came home from St. Paul on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. G. Davis and two youngest children spent Sunday with relatives at Veefkind.

Mr. and Mrs. Jay Brown and son spent Sunday at John Madler’s.

Mr. A. Rueth and W.R. Happe went to Madison Monday.

Frances and Douglas Graham spent Sunday with the Baxter children.

John Van Domelin and family spent Sunday evening at Reuben Field’s.

Ray Vogel and Miss Lena Curtis took dinner with Ray’s mother at Loyal on Sunday.

Milan Pizer of Washington is visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Pizer.

Several from this way attended the raising at Albert Lindow’s Monday. They did land office business that day, raised a barn frame, 36 x 72, and put up half of the rafters from 11 o’clock till 5. Must be they didn’t stop to tell many stories.

Miss Amy Lee spent Friday afternoon with Grandpa and Grandma Lee.

Robert Petznick called on John Madler Tuesday evening.

The Illinois oil agent was through here Tuesday.
