Isenberger, Carolyn Jean (4 July 1936 - 25 August 2012)

Carolyn Jean “Kaki” Isenberger, 76, of Stanley, died Saturday, August 25, 2012, at our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley, with her family by her side. She was born on July 4, 1936, in Stanley, the daughter of the late Sam and Jean (Hagen) Samuelson. Kaki grew up in the area attending area schools and graduated from Stanley High in 1954.

On July 10, 1954, she was united in marriage to David Isenberger at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanley. The couple farmed south of Stanley in the Town of Thorp until retirement. Kaki enjoyed going to the casino, crossword puzzles, watching NASCAR and football, especially the Packers, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, David of Stanley; two children: Jim (Lynn) Isenberger of Stanley, and Julie Seidl of Owen; six grandchildren: Tracey Stumpner, Kristie (Joel) Peterson, Kara Isenberger, Samuel Isenberger, Josh (Toni) Seidl, and Jami (Andy) Haas; four great-grandchildren: Trey, Teagen, Kyle and Alexis; and one niece, Sheryl Rimes.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; a brother in infancy; and her sister, Patricia Rimes.

A memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at the Plombon Funeral Home in Stanley with Rev. Sarah Semmler-Smith from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the Funeral Home.
