Mrs. Otto Rupno was taken very sick Sunday night. Dr. Housley was called to see her and at this writing is on the gain.

Mrs. Jennie Hallock, son Perry and daughter Lulu, with Mildred and Ruth Angel, autoed to Bethel last Saturday to attend Advent meetings.

Rev. Ambrose was out from Marshfield last Sunday night to preach. A large crowd was out. Next Sunday he will be here again.

Dan Brooks and John Davis bought a piece of grass on Mrs. Hungerford’s for hay.

Geo. Williams had help from Granton during haying.

Mrs. Emma Brooks and Muril spent Saturday night at Mrs. Tredeau’s, Mrs. Brooks’ mother.

Mr. A. Beil’s entertained C. Fenske’s, Herman Montags, Loran Webster’s and Paul Beil’s last Sunday.

Leonard and Edna, Duco and Jim Gyldernic and wife spent Sunday evening at Otto Rupno’s.

Aug. Bealer, Leona Bealer and edna Rupno autoed to Grand Rapids and back last Sunday.

The Young People’s meeting will be held Wednesday evening at Mrs. Chas. Fenske’s for practice in singing.

The Ladies Aid is to have an ice cream social at Nasonville M.W.A. Hall and a short program, Aug. 17. Everybody is cordially invited.

Dr. Housley bought his old home back from George Waterman’s.

Jason Phillips, an old veteran of the Civil War, is 83 years old. He keeps chickens, but the doves come and eat the feed up. The other day he took down his gun and with the first shot killed six. Some shooting! He ought to go over and help in this war, it would end it soon, already.
