Bertz, William (Abt. 1943-Feb 1961)

William Bertz, 38, who had been hospitalized in an Ann Arbor, Michigan hospital after suffering injuries from a sterilizer explosion at the University of Michigan laboratory died Friday from burns over fifty percent fifty percent of his body. The accident occurred a week ago last Wednesday.

Mr. Bertz is survived by his wife, Betty, five sons and one daughter; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Bertz of Berlin; two brothers, Robert of Loyal, David of Withee; eight sisters, Virginia, Rosemary, Colleen. Joann, Marilyn of Greenwood, Donna, Darlene and Dianna.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at Ann Arbor. Those from this area attending were Mr. and Mrs. Bodgonovich and son, Greenwood; Mrs. Robert Strathmann, Colby; David Bertz, Withee; Mr. and Mrs. John Bertz, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bertz and Mrs. Jerome Bertz.
