Beyer, Arnold Martin (1 May 1891 - 6 July 1967)

Arnold Martin Beyer, 76, of Greenwood, died last Thursday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been admitted the day before following a brain hemorrhage. He had been in poor health for several years.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Zion United Church in Greenwood. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery, with the Rev. David Logue officiating.

Mr. Beyer was born May 1, 1891, in Greenwood and was married there June 11, 1914, to Fern Sloniker. He received his education in the town of Warner. He was a cheesemaker in Greenwood, Alma Center and Marshfield for many years. He retired in 1956.

He was a member of Zion United Church. His wife Fern survives.

Funeral services for Arnold Beyer were held July 9 from the Zion United Church. The Rev. David Logue officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were all nephews: Justin Sloniker, of Green Bay, Grant Sloniker of Brookfield, Delbert Sloniker of Medford, Merlyn Horn of Norfolk, Va., and Edward and Verlyn Sloniker of Greenwood.

Mrs. Alan Dallman and Miss Sandra Olson sang, “Beyond the Sunset” accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Daniel Olson.

Relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ross Sloniker, Greenwood; Mrs. Elmer Horn, Chili; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Miller, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Verlyn Horn and daughter, Norfolk, Va.; Miss Fern Horn, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Koroghlonian and family, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Sloniker and family Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sloniker and family, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Verlyn Sloniker and family, Mrs. Olga Sloniker, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Grant Sloniker, Brookfield; Mr. and Mrs. Justin Sloniker and family, Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Apker, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Apker, Miss Wanda Apker, Mrs. Gerald Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sloniker, Miss Laurene Sloniker and Mrs. August Landsinger, all of Wonewoc; Mrs. Allen Sefkar, la Valle; Mrs. Emma Beyer and sons, Raymond and Rodney, Mrs. Victor Schwarze, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Schwarze, all of Horicon; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Robertson, Mayville; Arnold Siegert, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Steve Johnson, Wauwatosa; Mr. and Mrs. Theo Wehrman, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Schwarze, Owen.
