Mattson, Rosemary (4 MAY 1963)

Miss Rosemary Mattson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mattson of Ogema was given in marriage by her father to Louis J. Janda of Abbotsford, Saturday, May 4, 1963, in a ceremony performed at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Mr. Janda is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Janda of Abbotsford.

The exchange of vows took place at 9:30 o'clock in a double ring service read by Father Anthony O.F.M. Cap of St. Anthony's Monastery, Marathon, who also sang the nuptial high mass.

Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. John Larsen of Auburndale, brother-in-law and sister of the groom.

Paul Steffes of Milwaukee, also a brother-in-law of the groom, performed the ushering duties.

For her wedding, the bride chose a ballerina length gown of embroidered silk organza, designed with a scoop sweetheart neckline, long sleeves and flat front, full pleated back and triple bow at the waistline. A small crown made entirely of tiny pearls held the short slightly bouffant veil of pure silk English illusion. She carried a crescent bouquet of pink roses and white daisies.

Her matron of honor was attired in a ballerina length dress of aqua nylon organza over taffeta with a bateau neckline that tapered to a V in the back of the sleeveless bodice. She wore a matching floral headpiece with a short veil and carried a crescent bouquet of yellow and white daisies.

To her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Mattson wore a beige linen sheath dress with pink accessories and had a corsage of a white cymbidium orchid and feathered pink carnations. Mrs. Janda wore a pink linen dress with white accessories and had a white corsage of a cymbidium orchid and feathered carnations.

Dinner for immediate families was served at the Holiday Inn at Wausau.

After May 13, the new Mr. and Mrs. Janda will make their home at 429 Butternut St., Abbotsford.

The bride, a graduate of Prentice High School and the School of Practical Nurses at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis in 1959, has been employed in the nursery at St. Mary's Hospital, Wausau.

The groom is a graduate of the Abbotsford High School and the Marquette University School of Journalism in 1957. He is editor and publisher of the Tribune-Phonograph and the Edgar Weekly Review.
