Wright, Dawn I. (12 JUN 1963)

Marriage vows were exchanged between Miss Dawn Ilene Wright of Colby and Frederick Earl Wilson of Abbotsford in a 7:30 o'clock candlelight ceremony Wednesday evening, June 12, 1963, at the Methodist Church, Colby, with the Rev. Ralph Koelemay officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Wright of Colby and the groom is the son of Mrs. Lily Wilson of Abbotsford and the late John F. Wilson.

For the ceremony, Miss Sally Loos was the organist, Miss Joan Oplus was the pianist and Miss Julie Tamter was the soloist, who sang "Whither Thou Goest" and " The Lord's Prayer."

The bride wore a street length gown of white satin brocade with a bateau neckline slightly scooped in the back, very short up-mounted sleeves and a wrapped lined bell skirt. The five layer bubble veil of imported French silk tulle was attached to a flower crown of pearls. She carried a cascade arrangement of pink roses and white button pompons.

Attending her as maid of honor was Miss Enid Dunnum of Cashton, and as bridemsiad, Miss Sondra Loos. They were attired in street length pink satin brocade gowns fashioned as the bride's. The color was repeated in their headpieces of veiling and flowers and in the rosebuds combined with white pompons arranged in corsages.

Dennis Keiser of Abbotsford, a friend of the groom, was the best man, and Gary Wright, a brother of the bride, was the groomsman. Kenneth Barr of Colby and John Pfalzgraf of Abbotsford seated the guests at the church.

Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson left on a honeymoon trip to northern Wisconsin and Canada. Their futre home will be Wausau, where the groom will teach science att eh John Muir Junion High School.

Mr. Wilson, a graduate of the Abbotsford High School, is a 1963 graduate of Wis. State College, Eau Claire, where he was a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity.

His bride is a 1960 graduate of the Colby High School and is now a senior at Luther Hospital School of Nursing, Eau Claire.

Guests attending the wedding came from Curtiss, Athens, Beloit, Brookfield, East Troy, Clintonville, Eau Claire, Cashton, dorchester, Chippew Falls, Owen, Milwaukee, Madison, Marshfield, Auburndale, Thorp, Romah, Wis.; Minneapolis, Minn.; and Calumet, Mich.
