Smith (Westerberg) (Johnson), Eda (17 JAN 1884 – 14 MAR 1963)

Funeral services for Mrs. Eda Smith, 79, route 1, Loyal, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Myre Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Doering, pastor of the Loyal Methodist Church officiating.  Mrs. Smith died at 1 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been a patient for two months.  Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Orlando Kind, Danny Kind and Harry Braun, Greenwood; Sylvester O’Brien, Owen; Maynard Bauer, Colby; and Pat Duell.

Mrs. G.W. Nelson and Mrs. Paul Doering sand “Best Still My Soul” and “In the Garden”. Mrs. Byron Zepplin was organist.

Thos attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Bauer, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Treankler, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Anderson, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Briski, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Harry Braun, Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Kind, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Peterson, Greenwood; Mrs. John Busche, Mrs. Norman Busche, Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Treankler, Stratford; Salem Erickson, Mrs. Fanny Boyer, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester O’Brien, Owen: Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Treankler and Merle, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Damitz and son Ronald, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Hills, Dixon, Illinois.
