Cooper, Monica Jonquill (14 June 1993 - 17 December 2012)

Monica Jonquill Cooper, Conimaniwiga, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at her home.

Monica was born June 14, 1993, in Neillsville. She was 19 years old and lived with her parents in Dells Dam. She had previously attended the Neillsville High School.

She loved dressing up and anything with polka dots. She enjoyed listening to Miley Cyrus and MGK, learning beadwork and working on her home computer. She loved being a Cuwi to her niece Alexandra Rose Cooper. Monica was a beautiful young lady who will be missed forever.

Monica is survived by her parents, Martin John and Velvet Leah Cooper, from Dells Dam; her siblings, Nicholas Yellowbank of La Crosse, Martin Cooper, Jr., Mason Cooper and Fern Yellowbank, all of Dells Dam; and her niece Alexandra Rose Cooper from Sparta.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mindy; her maternal grandmother, Fern Yellowbank and her paternal grandparents, Priscilla Mike and Martin Cooper, Sr.

Traditional Native American services were held Wednesday, Dec. 19, 20112, at noon at the Ho-Chunk District One Community Center, Black River Falls. Clayton Winneshiek presided over services. Burial followed at the Cooper residence.

Family and friends were invited for visitation Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the Ho-Chunk District One Community Center, Black River Falls.

Buswell Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
