Hewett (8 APR 1915)

Mr. Manthy has been very sick, but is much better at this writing.

Walter Amidon was up from Melrose last week after another load of goods.

Mrs. Lon Cook visited friends several days recently in the towns of Weston and York.

Mrs. Ed. Wightman is spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wood.

Things sold real well at the auction sale at the M.M. Cook place Friday.

Everybody has gone to Columbia to cast their vote today.

H.B. Parker sold five head of young stock to G. Youmans Monday.

Charley Currier is making preparation to move back to Iowa some time next week.

Ed Haskins is making maple syrup.

Jesse Metcalf and family who have been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alden Metcalf, the past week returned to their home in Altoona Saturday.

George Marden was appointed school clerk in place of Walt Amidon resigned.

Will Ritchie returned from Mathus, Wis., the first of the week.
