Levis (15 APR 1915)

Misses Anna B. Hanson and Tillie Johnson of Dells Dam visited Lincoln School last Tuesday afternoon.

J.N. Gilbertson and wife returned from Reedsburg last Wednesday after a few days’ visit at the home of Mrs. Gilbertson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Zedekar, and family.

News was received this week of the marriage of Miss Jessie Saterlee to John Kraft of Turtle Lake, N.D., last Friday.

Phillip Brothers returned from Grant County last Tuesday. He spent Tuesday night at the home of L.H. Munson.

H. Blum, who has been suffering with pleurisy, is improving.

The spelling contests held Friday resulted as follows: The winners of Miss Hanson’s school at Dells Dam in spelling were Robert Anderson first, Ferol Lepold second, and Helen Ehlers third. In arithmetic, Robert Anderson first, Clyde Horton second, and Helen Ehlers third. The winners in Miss Rowe’s school in spelling were Maruel Johnson and Caroline Zikmund tying for first and Lillian Shramek third. In arithmetic, Maruel Johnson first, Edward Shramek second and Caroline Zigmund third.

O.A. Brockett has purchased an organ.

Lillian Nelson spent Sunday with friends at Shortville.

Mrs. Ed. Remus visited her father, Mr. Lenzkow, last Wednesday. Mr. Lenzkow has been quite ill, but is better.
