 Haas, Lorene Elizabeth Baures (16 DEC 1897 - 27 JAN 1974)

Lorene, 76, died at her home here on Sunday, January 27, 1974. Funeral services were held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Wednesday, January 30, 1974, ten a.m. with Father Charles Schumacher, Rothschild, Father Michael Mertens, Willard and Father John Puerner, Thorp, officiating. Interment was made in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons: Jerome Butterfield, Bruce Seaman, Donald smith, Rick Haas, Steven Haas and Kenneth Haas.

Lorene Elizabeth Baures was born December 16, 1897 at Fountain City, WI. She was married April 17, 1918 at Thorp to Casper Haas, Sr.

Surviving are her husband Casper Haas, Sr.; six sons, Henry, Casper, Jr., LaVerne, Edward and David, all of Thorp, Dennis of Menasha; four daughters, (Dorothy) Mrs. Kenneth Butterfield, Wausau, (Elaine) Mrs. Carl Reynolds, Phoenix, AZ, (Bernice) Mrs. Harvey Seaman, Thorp, (Mildred) Mrs. Edward Smith, Thorp; 72 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur Baures, Fairchild, Firmin and Edward Baures, Thorp; three sisters, (Eleanore) Mrs. Carl Carlson, Minneapolis, (Marie) Mrs. Emil Carlson, Sherman Oaks, CA, (Margaret) Mrs. John Felker, St. Paul. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Alvera Lemieux, two brothers, Walter and Joseph Baures, and one sister (Irene) Mrs. Robert Haas.

Relatives and friends attending the funeral from out of town were from: Grand Rapids, MI; Sherman Oaks, CA; Minneapolis, St. Paul, New Brighton, MN; Menomonie, Fountain City, Arcadia, Independence, Sheboygan, Onalaska, Milwaukee, Black River Falls, Menasha, Galesville, Bloomer, Appleton, Colfax, Wausau, Fairchild, Neillsville, Cadott, Stanley and Boyd, WI.
