ALMA HUMKE/WILLIAM STEIGER MARRIAGE

At two o'clock Thursday afternoon, May 14, 1914, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Humke, occurred the marriage of their youngest daughter, Alma, to Wm. Steiger, in the presence of about seventy-five relatives and friends.

The bride wore a lace gown over a foundation of light blue crepe de chine, also a veil and a wreath of orange blossoms. The groom wore dark blue. The bride was attended by Misses Ella Reineking and Louis Kippenhan, while Edwin Steiger and George Humke acted as best men.

The front room was prettily decorated in white and green and the party, marching to the strains of the wedding march, played by Miss Selma Reineking, took their places under a large white bell, where the ceremony was performed by Rev. O. Saewert.

Following the ceremony a bountiful wedding supper was served to all present.

The bride and groom were the recipients of many beautiful and useful presents.

The happy couple will make their home at Walter's Corners (Greenwood, Clark County), where the groom is engaged in cheese making.

They have a wide circle of friends who join in wishing them a long and happy wedded life.
