EDNA BOWEN/HIXON MEAD MARRIAGE
A pleasant wedding was solemnized by Rev. W. E. Kloster at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bowen of Longwood Clark County Wednesday
afternoon at 3 o'clock, when their daughter, Miss Edna, was married
to Mr. Hixon Mead of Longwood. Anson C. Dewey acted as best man and
Miss Libbie Bowen as bridesmaid. The ceremony was the ring service
of the ritual. Besides the parents and the brothers and sister,
there were present Mr. and Mrs. Erastus Bowen and their daughter
Rose of Greenwood and Miss McCarty of Longwood. After partaking of
the wedding dinner, the happy pair with their friends drove to
Withee and took the evening train for Eau Claire and other points
in the state. They were the recipients of a number of presents.
