Miss Avis Ion McIntyre of Eau Claire, daughter of Dr. R. E. McIntyre of this city was united in marriage to Robert Muckenhirm, of Madison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Muckenhirn of Berlin, on Thursday, January 27, 1938 at 9:15 at the Catholic parsonage at Eau Claire.
There were attended by Miss Mary Muckenhirn and John Longly, both of Madison.


The bride wore a gown of blue transparent velvet, designed with a Queen Ann collar, a corsage of mixed flowers and a blue hat with veil.
The brides father was the only person to attend the ceremony, besides the best man and bridesmaid.


Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to the party of five, after which the young couple left for Urbana, Ill. Where the bridegroom was sent by the University of Wisconsin to teach until the end of the school year. He is a teacher in the soils chemistry department at the state university.


The bride is a graduate of the Eau Claire High School and for two years attended the teachers college there. Later she took a three year librarian course at the University of Wisconsin and for the past two years has held the position of librarian at the Eau Claire library.
