In 1905, Charles A. Youmans and his wife, Maggie, were residing in a rented home in Sherman Township, Clark Co., WI where Charles was working as a farm laborer. He was 42 years old and she was ten years younger. Both of them were born in Wisconsin, he to natives of the Empire State and she to German Immigrants. They were the parents of seventeen year old Grace, ten year old Freddie and four year old Blanchy.
