I am descended through Heinrich (Henry) Emmers who is a brother to Anna.  Anna's sister, Mary, married a John Peters, but they do not seem to be directly related.  William Peters and his family are in the 1900 and 1910 Federal Census of Clark County, Wisconsin.  Anna is alternately listed as Anna and Johanna.  I am descended through Anna's (Hanna's) brother, Heinrich.  Their parents were Gerhard Emmers and Maria Ariens who were born in the Netherlands.

Theodore Emmers, son of Gerhard and Maria Ariens Emmers and Aleida Huls, daughter of Henry and Katherine Lieberdenk Huls.  Theodore is the young boy in the picture that you have of Gerhard Emmers.  Theodore and Aleida are a young couple in this picture and likely it is their wedding picture in 1886.

Judging by the age of his children. The adults, in the rear, are, left to right, Aleida Huls Emmers and Theodore Emmers.  The children are, left to right, Henry
Emmers, William Emmers, John Emmers, Mary Emmers, Catharine Emmers, Henrietta Emmers, Anna Emmers and George Emmers.

The first four children, from left to right, were named for me by Mark Seibers, a cousin.  The last four children I have guessed at who they are by
knowing their sex and dates of birth.  If anyone can positively identify them as being otherwise please let me know.  If you can locate more pictures of these people let me know.

This picture was also taken around 1900.  The old lady in the rocker is Maria Ariens Emmers.  The adult female seated to Maria's right is Aleida Huls Emmers and her husband, Theodore Emmers is the only adult male in the photograph.  Since Maria live with her daughter, Catharine Emmers School, when the 1900 census was taken and she died in Catharine's home in Dec. 1903 I presume that this picture was probably taken at Catharine Emmers School's home.  Catherine would be in her late 50's and I take the woman standing to the left of Maria to be her daughter Catharine Emmers School.
