John R. Hoffman, Civil War Soldier

1844 - 1923

 

John R. Hoffman was born June 13, 1844.  He enlisted with Co. "E" of the 41st Regiment of the Wisconsin Infantry on August 13, 1862 serving as a Private and was discharged January 8, 1863.  He died June 30, 1923 and is buried in the Greenwood, Wisconsin City Cemetery.  His daughter, Mrs. William Nevil of Neillsville, Wisconsin was listed as his next of kin on his grave registration.

 

 John R. Hoffman is also featured in the book, "Civil War Soldiers in the heart of Clark Co., Wisconsin."
