David Wilde

Withee, Hixon, Clark County, Wisconsin

David Wilde was born in Wis. In 1862. His father was David Wilde also and his mother was Sophia Wilde. He had three children: Alexander Wilde 1891-1972; Clarence Elmer Wilde 1849-? and Lawrence D. Wilde 1903-1976. In the 1910 Montello, Marquette, Wisconsin Census, David Wilde was listed as a Barkeeper and a Saloon owner.

The photo above includes David Wilde with his siblings. Carl Wilde, (B: 1849 D: 1907) is the second man with the white beard. David is the man on the far end in the second row.  The two girls names I have are Mary Wilde (B: Abt. 1866) and Minnie Wilde (B: Abt. 1864), but I don't know which is which.  I have no identifications for the other people, but would love to find out the rest of the kids names.  I found David in the 1880 Princeton, Green Lake, Wisconsin, United States Census living at home with his mother and father and two sisters. All three of them where born in Wis. The rest of the kids where born in Prussia. Carl Wilde did not come over with his mother and father but he might have come over with some of his siblings.
