William (b. 1791, ca.) and "Ollie" (Merwin) Wonser (b. 1804, ca.) were both natives of the Empire State and married in Wisconsin during 1825.  Two of their sons were Ransford who was born about 1828, and William Jr. who joined the family four years later, in 1832.

February 22, 1860, when William Wonser, Jr. was twenty-eight, he married twenty-five year old Delia Moore in Holland, Sheboygan Co., Wisconsin.  When their first son, Edgar was born the following year, February 7, 1861.   That was the same year the Southern States seceded from the Union in an effort to create a separate government and  Great Civil War was heating up.  Their second son was born near the end of that war in September 7, 1865.  They named him Ernest Ransford Wonser, with his middle name in honor of William's older brother.

In 1880, William and Delia where engaged in farming in Wisconsin.  Uncle Ransford was living with them and they were the parents of three additional children.  May, their first daughter, was born in 1870.  Their third son, Frederick, was born five years later and Maud, their second girl and youngest child, was born June 30, 1878.

Edgar Wonser married Jane Van Overkerk February 22, 1884 in Sheboygan Co., Wisconsin.

In 1898, Maud Wonser married A. H. Nonhoff in Granton, Clark Co., Wisconsin.

During 1901, Ernest Wonser married Iona S. Tibbetts.  For many years they farmed, but on the 1930 Census his occupation was listed as "Insurance Agent".   They became the parents of Murrel (b. 1904) and Elizabeth (b. 1910)

Mae/May Wonser married  Oldenberg of Unity, Wisconsin.

Frederick married and had a son named Gordon who attended the Unity-Brighton Grade School.  From 1915 to 1926, Fred owned property in Section 28 of Colby Township.  From 1905 to 1926, he also owned land in Sections 2 and 3 of Unity Township.

Both William and Adelia "Delia" are buried in the Wildwood Cemetery of Sheboygan Co., Wisconsin.
