Just before midnight on June 5, 1911 the large dairy and horse barn owned by William Neinas, a prosperous farmer in the Town of Lynn, was struck by lightning. The whole barn, including a Raleigh medicine wagon valued at $450 and a gasoline engine and several other implements, was consumed in the flames. Loss was about $3,500.
