Griepentrog, Luke A. (9 February 1985 - 17 December 2020)

Luke A Griepentrog, age 35, of Marshfield, died on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at his home in Marshfield.

Luke was born on February 9, 1985 in Marshfield, the son of James D. and Debra J. (Sandley) Griepentrog. After graduation from Spencer High School, he went on to technical school to receive his welding certification. He was employed as a welder and pipefitter.

Luke’s hobbies included four-wheeling, fishing and being out on the trails snowmobiling. He possessed a creative and artistic mind that was evident in his many art projects. His spare time was used for repairing vehicles and remodeling homes for anyone who needed a helping hand.

Those who will cherish his memory include his children, Gage Griepentrog of Stratford and Leightyn (Tyn) Griepentrog of Loyal; his mother, Debra (Mark Kaiser) Griepentrog; his father, James (Ronda Hederer) Griepentrog; his brother, Derek Griepentrog, his sister, Devon (Troy Shull) Griepentrog, all of Spencer and his special friend, Rena Rogers of Marshfield. He is further survived by his nephew and niece, Chase and Skye and his paternal grandfather, Donald Griepentrog of Spencer along with other relatives and many friends.

Luke was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold Sandley and Dolores Knutson and his paternal grandmother, Betty Griepentrog.

If desired, the family is accepting memorials in Luke’s name for a charity to be determined.

To honor his family’s wishes, Luke’s memorial services will be held privately. He will be laid to rest in West Spencer Cemetery in the Town of Sherman.
