Donald M. Kirn, 89, of Willard, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.

Donald Martin Kirn was born on August 15, 1931 in the Town of Hendren, rural Willard, to Martin F. and Jennie (Romosh) Kirn. He was raised and educated in the Willard area, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1949. Don served in the U.S. Army from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1958. He was united in marriage to Donna M. Matkovich on July 9, 1960 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. After his marriage, Don worked for Plautz Brothers for many years, and later was the Forestry & Parks Administrator for Clark County for 30 years until his retirement.

He had many interests, but especially enjoyed collecting John Deere items and restoring old John Deere tractors.

Don was a lifetime member of Holy Family Catholic Church, was president of the Willard Athletic Club for many years, served on the Clark County Board of Supervisors for 16 years, and was instrumental in organizing the Willard Polka Fest.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, of Willard; 2 sons: Kelly (Jill) Kirn and Kerry Kirn, both of Willard; 2 brothers: Roger Kirn of Neillsville, and Kenneth (Sharon) Kirn of Willard; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Marion Herrick.

Per Don's wishes, a private family burial will take place at a later date in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Willard.
