Hauge, Lorene (29 July 1902 - 8 January 1983)

Neillsville -- Mrs. Edwin C. (Lorene) Hauge, 80, 1509 Locust Ave, Marshfield, and formerly of Neillsville died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, where she was admitted December 28.

Services will be Wednesday at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. The Rev. Gary I. Clark, of the United Church of Christ will officiate and burial will be in Neillsville Cemetery. Pallbearer are Terry and Randy Hauge, Brad Zimmerman, Dr. Jerry Teclaw, Brian Teclaw and Steve Biechler. Eastern Star services will be held.

The former Lorene Broihier was born July 29, 1902 at Festine, Iowa, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George (Florence Weitgenont) Broihier. She received her education in Iowa and Neillsville, graduating from Neillsville, graduating from Neillsville High School in 1920. She taught in rural schools in the Neillsville area for three years.

She and Edwin C. Hauge were married April 14, 1923 at Neillsville, where she resided until her husband's death on May 29, 1979. Shortly after, she moved to Marshfield.

She was a member of Carmi Chapter No. 60, Order of the Eastern Star and the Neillsville Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Helen Horner of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Teclaw of Greendale and Mrs. Robert (Betty) Biechler of Marshfield; one sone, James Hauge, route 2, Neillsville; three sisters, Mrs. David (Mabel) Bender, Mrs. Fay Wasserburger and Mrs. George (Leona) Bryan, all of Neillsville; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
