Cox, Minnie (1895 - 1983)


Mrs. Fred (Minnie) Cox, 87, of 210 S. Division St., Loyal, Clark County, died at 4:20 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 2, 1983, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cox will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. Rev. Joseph R. Kraly will officiate and burial will be in the Loyal Cemetery.

Visitations will be after 3 p.m., Wednesday at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, and after 9:30 a.m., Thursday, at the church.

Minnie Meyer was born on March 10, 1895, in Winnebago County. She received her education at Winneconne Schools.

She and Fred Cox were married at Omro on June 7, 1922. After their marriage, they lived in the Birnamwood area until 1925, when they moved to Loyal. They were engaged in the livestock business.

She was a member of trinity Lutheran Church and also the Loyal Garden Club. She was on the Loyal Library Board.

Survivors include one son, Fred Cox, Jr. of Loyal one sister, Mrs. Erna Schmeling of Winneconne and three grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband on Sept. 24, 1962 one brother and four sisters.

Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, is in charge of arrangements.
