MARIE KESLER

 
Marie V. Kesler, 84, Menomonee Falls, died Friday, Nov. 3, 1995, at Linden Grove Health Care Center, Menomonee Falls, following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, 1995, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manawa. Rev. Cyril Dickrell officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Greenwood, Clark County.


Marie V. Gierl was born on Nov. 23, 1910, in Colby, to Nicholas and Anna Gierl. On June 4, 1935, she married Oliver J. Kesler Sr. in Colby. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1991. She lived and farmed with her husband in the Colby area prior to moving to the Greenwood area in 1939. They farmed there until moving to Manawa in 1967. The past four years she had been a resident of the Linden Grove Health Care Center. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manawa, and a member of the Altar Society.


Survivors include six children, Sharon (Sven) Sandblom, Menomonee Falls Oliver Kesler Jr., Manawa LeRoy (Joanne) Kesler, Ramsey, Minn. Richard (Sandra) Kesler, Zimmerman, Minn. James Kesler, Detroit, Mich. and David (Barbara) Kesler, Watertown 19 grandchildren 24 great-grandchildren nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents her husband one son, Raymond, brothers/ and two sisters.


Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home, Manawa, assisted the family with arrangements.
