FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR FRANK SPANGLER


Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 22, 1975, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville for Frank Spangler, 71, Cupertino, Calif., who died suddenly in California Monday, Aug. 18, 1975. He was a former resident of the Town of York, Clark County.


A native of Clark County, Mr. Spangler had operated a farm in the Town of York for a number of years. He was married to the former Ione Sischo on Oct. 12, 1923, at Neillsville, and she died March 28 of this year.


Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Milton (Janice) Stocke, Gilroy, Calif. three sons, Bernard D. Spangler, Rowland Heights, Calif. and Franklin D. Spangler and John M. Spangler, both of Eugene, Ore. two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Zink, Cudahy and Mrs. Ed (Ann) Blomberg, Loyal a brother, Joe Spangler, Neillsville and ten grandchildren.


Besides his wife he was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and one sister.

Spangler, Frank (1904? – 18 August 1975)

Funeral services were held Friday from St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Frank Spangler, 71 of Cupertino, Ca., who died August 18, at Rowland Heights, Ca. The Rev. Joseph Henseler officiated, and burial followed in the parish cemetery. The Rosary was recited Thursday evening at the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home, where the body of Mr. Spangler was in state.

Mr. Spangler was the son of Joseph, Sr., and Rose Pompe Spangler. His marriage to the former Ione Sischo took place October 12, 1923, in Neillsville. Mrs. Spangler preceded her husband in death on March 28 of this year.

Surviving are four children, Bernard D. Spangler of Rowland Heights, Ca., Franklin D. Spangler and John M. Spangler of Eugene, Or., and Mrs. Milton (Janice) Stocke of Gilroy, Ca.; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Zink of Cudahy and Mrs. Ed (Ann) Blomberg of Loyal, one brother, Joe Spangler of Neillsville; and 10 grandchildren.
