Inger J. Free, 75, of 300 Ferguson St., Neillsville, Clark County, died at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, on Sunday, Sept. 2, 1984, at 7:10 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, 1984, at York Center Methodist Church, Rev. Paul E. Nelson will officiate and interment will be in the York Center Cemetery.

Visitations will be from 5-9 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday morning until 10:30 a.m., at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville and at the church one hour before services. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, is handling arrangements.

Inger Searls was born to James and Julia (nee Hanson) Searls on April 11, 1909, at Disco, Wis. She received her education in Jackson County and at the Maryvale School, in the Town of York.

On Jan. 17, 1928, she was married to Herbert M. Free at Neillsville. After their marriage, they farmed in the Town of York for many years until 1967, when they retired and moved to Loyal. After the death of her husband on Feb. 2, 1971, she continued to live in Loyal until a year ago, when she moved to Neillsville and lived in the Country View Apartments.

Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. Leatrice Murphy of Barstow, Calif., Mrs. LaVerne (Inez) Spuhler of Loyal and Mrs. Richard (Viola) Buchholz of Neillsville one son, Donald Free of Neillsville two sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Alice) Richert of Loyal and Minnie Searls of Neillsville two brothers, Harold Searls of Granton and Herbert Searls of Yakima, Wash. 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, were her parents one grandson one brother, George five sisters, Bertha, Margaret, Leona, Edna, and Gladys and two brothers and one sister in infancy.
