Degenhardt, Mary (1 APR 1902 - 2 DEC 1984)


Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 1984, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church for Mrs. Mary Degenhardt, 82, Route 2 Box 214, Loyal, Clark County. Mrs. Degenhardt died at 12:02 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 at the Hospice center of St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

The Rev. James Logan officiated the service with burial in St. Anthony's Cemetery. A Prayer Service was held and also a PCCW Rosary.

Mary Binder was born April 1, 1902 in Bakersville, Wis. to Ludwig and Catherine (nee Ertl) Binder. She received her education in the Bakersville school. On Oct. 17, 1922 she married Leo Degenhardt in Loyal. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1972 and their 60th Anniversary in 1982. She farmed in the Town of Loyal all her life.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Mericulous Medal.

She is survived by her husband, Leo of Loyal five daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Madeline) Bell of Marshfield, Mrs. Walter (Alberta) Kohl of Marshfield, Mrs. Robert ( Marie) Gregorich, Spencer, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Rottscheit, Marshfield, Mrs. John (Barbara) Lunskey of Minneapolis, Minn. three sons, Paul of Marshfield, Norbert of Curtiss, Lawrence of Monroe Center, Ill. three brothers, Joe Binder, Anton Binder, Al Binder, all of Bakersville 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and six brothers.

Pallbearers were all grandsons: Richard Bell, Tom Kohl, Norbert Degenhardt Jr., Mark Gregorich, Steve Gregorich, and Donald Rottscheit.

Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
