Pettys, Charles (20 JUN 1822 - 10 JAN 1882)


Died, Charles Pettys, in the town of Grant, Clark County, Wis., Jan. 10, 1882, of consumption, aged 59 years, 6 months and 20 days.

The deceased was born in Montpelier, Vermont, June 20, 1822 was married to Esther Stark Nov. 1, 1845. He had two daughters, both of whom are married Flora, wife of Geo. Sauner, of Appleton, and Emma, wife of Daniel Davidson, WHO RESIDED WITH HIS FATHER-IN-LAW. He Was one year in the service in Co. H. 92nd, N.Y. He has resided in Clark County sixteen years, and was much esteemed by his neighbors as an industrious, accommodating man.
