Lyons, J.D. (19 MAY 1827 - 8 JUN 1889)

Died, on June 8, 1889, at his home in the town of Grant, Clark County, Wis., J.D. Lyons, aged 62 years and 20 days.

Mr. Lyons was born in the state of New York in the year 1827. He remained there until the fall of '69, when he removed with his family to this county.

During nearly eleven weeks of pain and suffering, his patient endurance was the wonder and remark of all who were with him. His last rational thoughts being not of himself, but for the care and comfort of his loved ones so soon to be left behind and gratitude to the many kind hands so willingly reached out to help in his last need. His last requests being that one and all should meet him in the home that's "Over there."
