Hanson, Herman (1875 - 8 FEB 1896)

Herman Hanson, son of Hans Hanson, at his home in this city (Neillsville, Clark County), Saturday evening, Feb. 8th, 1896, of consumption at the age of 20 years.

Herman was taken ill with pneumonia a year ago, which caused abscesses to form in his lungs, and an operation was performed and tubes were put through the side, from which puss has continually discharged. Instead of recovering fully from the effects of pneumonia, the sufferer rallied for a time and finally consumption set in, which sapped his young life by degrees.

The funeral services were held at the residence by Rev. Serveit, the Norwegian Luther minister, Monday afternoon, and the remains were buried in Neillsville cemetery by the side of his mother.

Mr. Hanson and children wish to thank all who have assisted during the sickness, death and burial of his son.
