Loskot, Donna (OCT 1963)

A 4 p.m. ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church, Edgar, performed by the Rev. Douglas P. Oyan, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Marshfield, assisted by the Rev. Charles E. Glidden of Abbotsford, pastor of the Edgar Church, united in marriage Miss Donna Loskot of Madison and Dale Hanson of Sheboygan.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Loddie Loskot of route 1, Edgar, and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hanson, Exeland.

Mrs. Morris Erickson of Athens offered music at the organ, "Trumpet Tune in D Major," by Purcell for the processional, and "Allegro Maestoso" by Handel for the recessional. She is an aunt of the bride.

Candelabra were placed on the altar for the candlelight ceremony, during which Mr. Loskot gave his daughter in marriage. Bronze and yellow chrysanthemums were used in floral piece at the church.

The bride chose a floor length princess styled gown of white stain with a scoop neckline and long sleeves. Her veil was a delicate mantilla made of Belgium lace. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Miss Joan Bigwood of Boksburg, South Africa, a roommate of the bride at Madison the past two years, was the maid of honor. He aids were Miss June Hanson of Bruce and Miss Patricia Bjelland, St Croix Falls, cousins of the groom.

The aides wore street length gowns of burnt orange colored crystal peau de soie, complemented with circular veils with small seed crowns decorating their crowns. They carried bronze and yellow chrysanthemum bouquets.

Michael Hanson of Exeland was the best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Harold Loskot, Wausau, brother of the bride, and Charles Olson, Wausau, cousin of the bride, who also performed the ushering duites.

Following the ceremony, a buffet supper was served 125 wedding guests at the church parlors and a reception for 200 persons was held in the evening at the home of the bride's parents.

For the wedding, the bride's mother chose a blue wool dress with beige accents, and Mrs. Hanson wore a blue printed silk dress with beige accessories. They were given corsages of pink roses and white mums.

Following a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the couple will be at home at 3024 N. Ninth St., Sheboygan, where he is an engineer for the Wis. Public Service Corp.

The bride, who is a graduate of the Colby High School, attended Carroll College, Waukesha, and in 1961 was graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. For the past two years, she has been employed as a secretary for the cardiovascular research laboratory of the University Hospitals at Madison.

Mr. Hanson is a 1962 graduate of the University of Wisconsin.

Guests came from Abbotsford, Athens, Barron, Berlin, Bruce, Clinton, Eau Claire, Edgar, Exeland, madison, Marshfield, Merrill, St. Croix Falls, Stoughton, Superior and Wausau.
