Greenwood (11 January 1968)

The 13th birthday of Larry Krainz was celebrated Saturday evening at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Val Krainz.

Mrs. Archie Lyons of Riplinger spent several days at the home of Mrs. Henry Keiner and visited other friends.

Mrs. Julia Hecker of Wausau was a recent guest at the Ralph Ystad home and visited other friends in the area.

Connie Rychnovsky returned Tuesday to La Crosse, where she attended the state university. Her sister, Carol, and Diane Lindner returned to Medford to resume studies at Taylor County Teachers College.

The American Legion will meet Monday evening in the Legion Hall. The auxiliary will be joined by the Legionnaires after their meeting for a lunch. Hostesses will be Mrs. Mike Podobnik, Mrs. George Plautz, Mrs. Oscar Meinholdt, Mrs. Archie Lyons, Mrs. Kenneth Rodgers and Mrs. Charles Rossow.

The Adult fellowship will meet in Zion United Church Sunday at 8 p.m. Hosts will be Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Olson and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schneider.

The Salem Ladies Aid will meet Tuesday in Zion United Church. Hostesses will be Mrs. Harold Horn and Mrs. Theodore Braun.

Relatives celebrated the ninth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard P. Seberg of Chilton Wednesday at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Christ Keiner.

Claude Severson was transferred by ambulance Thursday from Memorial Hospital in Neillsville to the Veterans Hospital in Madison.

Lloyd Thompson returned to Greeley, Colo., Tuesday after spending the holidays with his sister, Mrs. Robert Stewart, and family. Other New Year’s Day guests were Dr. and Mrs. Gary Rohde and sons, Douglas and Dean, who also visited at the Gilbert Rohde home.
