Christman, Anton (03 APR 1883– 15 SEP 1963)

Anton Christman, 80, Loyal, died at 4:30 a.m., Sunday, September 15 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield where he had been a patient since last Thursday.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Rev. Norbert E. King officiating.  Burial was in the parish cemetery.  The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Bert Brown, Leo Degenhardt, Lawrence Davel, James Bertz, Lawrence Heun, and Ervin Heun.

Mr. Christman was born April 3, 1883, in Hartford and came to Loyal as a child with his parents.  He received his education in Loyal schools.  He farmed with his brother Joe for many years and in 1948 moved to the city of Loyal.

He was married September 25, 1933 to Agatha Lubinski at Winona, Minnesota.  She died May 22, 1963.  He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Mr. Christman is survived by a sister, Mrs. Kate Emerson of Wisconsin Rapids and many nieces and nephews.  Three brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.
