Mrs. G.A. Ure was given a surprise shower of canned fruit by her many friends
here, Monday evening. The object of the shower was to replace in party, the
fruit Mrs. Ure so fortunately lost when a hanging shelf containing about 200
quarts of these goodies broke down two weeks ago and demolished every can.
Harold Balch and Miss Marie Louis Parritt of Chicago were married in Chicago
last Saturday. Harold is a son of Mrs. Nettie Balch and is a young civil
engineer of great promise.
