Kubat, Mary M. (17 October 1889 - 7 April 1968)

Funeral services were held Wednesday from St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Mrs. Mary M. Kubat of Neillsville, who died Sunday at the home of her daughter. The Rev. George M. Nelson officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Kubat, daughter of the late Peter and Bertha (Luebke) Buddinger, was born October 17, 1889, in Manitowoc. At the age of five she came with her parents to Clark County. The family located on a farm in the town of York, where she attended school.

Following the death of her first husband, John Begley, she was married on September 30, 1919, in Neillsville to John Kubat, who died in 1945. She had made Neillsville her home since 1919. Mrs. Kubat was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and an honorary member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women (PCCW).

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Marie) Lynch of Neillsville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Paul (Irene) Bladl, of Owen; two half-sisters, Mrs. Clara White of Loyal and Mrs. Hugo (Minnie) Trimberger of Granton; two half-brothers, George Buddinger of rural Neillsville and William Buddinger of rural Granton; and six grandchildren.

A parish rosary service was said Tuesday evening at the Georgas Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held April 10, for Mrs. Marie M. Kubat, 78, who died April 7, at the home of her daughter in Neillsville. The Rev. George M. Nelson officiated at services from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were: William Schwellenbach, Gary Nauertz, Douglas Buddinger, William Buddinger, Max Lukas and Eugene Walter.

People from away here for the funeral included: Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bladl, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Koplitz and family and Mrs. Anna Koplitz of Withee; Miss Elaine Trimberger of Menasha; Mrs. Clara White and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Walter of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lynch of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lynch of Bracket; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Trimberger, Mr. and Mrs. William Buddinger, Jr. and Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Walter of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crossett of Marshfield; Miss Dixie Buddinger and Mrs. Ray Schnabel of Granton.
