Runzheimer, Velma (19 NOV 1913 - 11 FEB 1964)

Funeral services for Mrs. Ervin Runzheimer, town of Johnson (Marathon Co., Wis.), were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens, with the Rev. Walter Krueger of Spencer officiating. Interment was made in the Colby Cemetery.

The pallbearers were Reinhart and Norman Wiersig of Colby, Herman Punke of Athens, Clarence Wenzel and Marvin and Myron Zahrt, tow of Easton.

Mrs. Runzheimer, the former Velma Zahrt, was born Nov. 19, 1913, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Zahrt. Her marriage to Erwin Runzheimer took place June 29, 1946.

Before her marriage and after it, she operated a store in the town of Easton for 10 years. From 1948 to 1953 the couple lived in Wausau and later moved to a farm in the town of Rib Falls. Eight months ago they moved to a farm in the town of Johnson.

Mrs. Runzheimer was found dead in bed about 6:30 in the morning, Feb. 10 (Previous obit indicates she died Feb. 11). The time of death was approximately 3 a.m., of a heart condition.

Surviving her are her husband and three children, Arlett, Lois and David, all at home, and her mother, Mrs. Bertha Zahrt, town of Easton. There are also four brothers and three sisters.

Relatives attending the funeral came from Fort Wayne, Ind., Milwaukee, Wausau and Wausau area, Marshfield, Athens, Colby and vicinity.
